Complaints Process

If you have a comment or issue to raise regarding a local solicitor you should be aware of the following:

  • The Newcastle Law Society has no formal complaints handling and or resolution function or role.
  • Formal written complaints need to be addressed to either the New South Wales Law Society Professional Standards Department at 170 Phillip Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (Ph: 9926 0333) or the Office of the Legal Services Commission at 8-12 Chifley Square, Sydney NSW 2000 (Ph: 9377 1800 or 1800 242 958).
